Prepare a profile people can use

Answer buyer questions without inflating credentials, coverage or capacity.

Planning guide · reviewed 12 October 2026

Identify the business

Use the name consistently and maintain an official website or contact route. Describe services in everyday language. Separate an office from a service area. Do not publish a private home address simply to appear local. Keep legal names and ownership details accurate where included, and explain any difference between a trading name and the name a buyer will see on an agreement.

Make evidence specific

Use examples you have permission to publish. Get consent for customer names, images and stories. Identify the issuer of a credential and keep its status current. Avoid invented counts, unsupported superlatives and blanket coverage promises. A short accurate description is more useful than claims buyers cannot check. Separate work performed from services merely referred to another provider.

Maintain the profile

Review coverage, hours, contact information and offerings when they change. Keep sources for important facts. Explain limitations a buyer needs before contacting you. PNW Small Biz does not currently accept submissions; this checklist prepares information for channels you maintain and any future process with published standards. Keep private source records separate from the public description.

Keep these questions with your notes

  • Separate office location from coverage.
  • Publish examples only with permission.
  • Review facts when the business changes.
